Job Description
We are seeking a Content Engineer to support a key initiative focused on large-scale, nationwide advertising events supporting the United States Marine Corps. The ideal candidate will have experience creating and managing content across digital platforms, ensuring alignment with marketing strategies, and leveraging content for high-impact events like NASCAR races, sports entertainment, and government recruiting efforts. The candidate will also work closely with internal teams and the client to create compelling and strategic content that engages both military personnel and the general public.
This role is pivotal in amplifying brand visibility through content that supports recruiting efforts, fosters engagement during major events, and aligns with the Marine Corps’ objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to develop and implement content strategies that drive recruitment initiatives for the Marine Corps and elevate brand presence at high-profile events such as NASCAR races, the Super Bowl, and other sports entertainment venues.
Multi-Platform Content Creation: Design, create, and manage high-quality content across multiple platforms (web, social media, event materials) that resonates with diverse audiences, including veterans, service members, and civilian partners.
Event-Specific Content: Develop and coordinate marketing content for large-scale, nationwide events, including flyers, posters, banners, merchandise, and digital materials tailored for government and sports-related events like fleet weeks and NASCAR.
Brand Consistency and Content Compliance: Ensure all content adheres to the branding guidelines, messaging consistency, and the U.S. Marine Corps’ standards, and is aligned with DOD regulations.
Content Performance Analysis: Track and analyze the performance of content across various platforms, providing insights and recommendations for optimizing engagement and improving content reach for both digital and in-person event channels.
Vendor and Partner Collaboration: Work with external vendors, marketing teams, and digital agencies to ensure seamless integration of content into larger marketing strategies and event planning.
Client Communication & Feedback Integration: Serve as the main content point of contact with Marine Corps stakeholders and event coordinators, ensuring all feedback is incorporated into future content iterations and maintaining clear lines of communication for real-time content updates.
Travel & Event Support: Travel up to 50% to provide on-site support at major Marine Corps recruitment events, high-profile sporting events, and other nationally recognized venues to ensure successful implementation and visibility of content initiatives.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
-3-5 years of experience in content creation and management using modern content and marketing platforms.
-Previous experience supporting marketing campaigns, particularly within the government or sports entertainment sectors (NASCAR, Super Bowl, etc.).
-Experience with event-specific content creation is a strong plus.
Technical Skills:
-Strong proficiency in content management systems, social media platforms, and design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.).
-Experience with data analytics platforms to track content performance (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.).
Security Clearance:
-Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain Secret Clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Familiarity with Marine Corps or other Department of Defense (DOD) agencies.
-Experience working with veterans or military communities is a plus.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace tools (G-Suite).
