Job Description
We are seeking a Marketing Program Manager to support a key initiative focused on large scale, nation-wide advertising events supporting the Marine Corps. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Marketing Strategist or Marketing Program Manager leading development of large-scale marketing plans, working with clients to develop specific targeting, drafting marketing analysis and statistics-based reports, deep understanding of digital engagement, and who has experience supporting the Marine Corps or other DOD agencies, along with familiarity and/or a deep understanding of marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Communications Plan Development: Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive strategic communications plan, working in close partnership with the Contract Program Manager and client stakeholders. This plan will focus on high-profile nationwide events supporting U.S. Marine Corps recruiting efforts and include targeted messaging for diverse audiences.
Event-Centric Marketing Strategy: Design, implement, and oversee marketing strategies tailored for specific high-profile events such as NASCAR races, fleet weeks, the Coca-Cola 500, Super Bowl, and other sports entertainment venues. Develop customized marketing plans based on event type, location, and target audience to maximize engagement with potential Marine Corps recruits.
Targeted Messaging & Community Engagement: Work with regional Marine Corps recruiting offices and government agencies to craft localized messaging that aligns with national objectives. Develop partnerships with key community leaders, sports associations, and entertainment stakeholders to ensure successful outreach and brand positioning.
Digital Marketing & Paid Advertising Campaigns: Lead the development of paid advertising strategies across digital platforms (social media, Google Ads, programmatic ad buying) designed to reach targeted demographics. Track and analyze performance metrics, optimizing campaigns in real-time to maximize engagement and return on investment (ROI).
Marketing Data Analytics & Reporting: Analyze data from digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and event-driven engagement metrics to create actionable insights. Develop regular reports for stakeholders, including statistical analysis on campaign effectiveness, audience reach, conversion rates, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that support decision-making.
Content Development Oversight: Manage content creation teams, including project managers and content developers, to ensure that high-quality, engaging materials (videos, social media content, promotional graphics) are delivered on time and are aligned with the strategic vision. Oversee the creative process for producing targeted content for recruitment ads, promotional events, and digital engagement.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Presentation: Serve as the main point of contact for Marine Corps recruiting officials, NASCAR event managers, and other governmental or private stakeholders. Regularly present marketing plans, strategies, and performance reports to senior leadership and key partners.
Budget and Resource Management: Manage the marketing budget for events, ensuring that all strategies are implemented within the financial scope while maximizing resource allocation. Oversee vendor management for advertising platforms, content production, and event services.
Event Attendance and On-Site Management: Travel up to 50% of the time to attend key nationwide events, including meetings with stakeholders, coordinating live marketing initiatives, and ensuring the smooth execution of on-site advertising campaigns.
Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead a multidisciplinary team composed of marketing strategists, project managers, content creators, and data analysts. Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring that all team members are aligned with campaign goals, deliverables, and deadlines.
Requirements:
i. Bachelor's Degree, (Master's Degree Preferred) in relative field to include business, marketing, or analytics
ii. 8-10 years of experience in marketing planning and analysis, or an additional 5-10 years, in lieu of degree
iii. Ability to extract data from marketing systems and develop statistical based marketing reports
iv. Active Security Clearance, or ability obtain security clearance
iv. Exposure to Marine Corps or other DOD agencies strongly preferred
v. Experience with Microsoft tools, q-suite, ability to create statistical reports
